About Lanto Griffin
A collegiate golfer at Virginia Commonwealth University, Lanto Griffin played all four years and was the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. Graduating in 2010, Lanto turned professional. He made two PGA TOUR starts in 2011 and had his first professional victory at an NGA Tour event in 2013. In 2015, Lanto played several tournaments on the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica where he had a win in Uruguay and four top 25 finishes. Lanto returned to the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica in 2016 to make 15 starts and finish with nine top 25s. This included a season best T 12 at the Copa Diners Club International.

Lanto made 24 starts on the 2017 Web.com Tour, including a win at the Nashville Open. He saw his second top 10, T6 finish at the Price Cutter Charity Championship presented by Dr. Pepper and a third top 10, T8 finish at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. Most notably however, he became the fourth player in Tour history, to win on the Web.com Tour after making the cut on the number at 2-under. While at the Nashville Golf Open Benefitting the Snedeker Foundation, he snagged his first career Web.com Tour Victory, along with tying the course record. At the end of his 2017 season, he placed 22nd on the Regular Season money list and secured a PGA TOUR card for the 2017-18 season.
